Label: Only Trance Records

Marco Töpfer, better know as Marc van Gale, was born in 1986, since early years of his life he was charmed by music, and it didn’t take long before he discovered his passion for electronic dance music, and then got his first dj gear when he was only 11 years, being recognised as a young promise and successfully making his way up to big gigs just 5 years later under the name of DJ4T.
Not long after meeting success as a dj, in 2003, he decided to start producing tracks and remixes in his prefered style: Trance. So he learned to produce and was quickly developing his own sound till 2004, when he saw himself forced to take a hiatus from his music career, but at the end of that year returned to the scene with a show at Radio Sunshine Live Hire & Fire (92% Hire) and focused on dedicating to what he is most passionate about, music. This marked the re-start and way up of his career, playing lots of gigs at different locations around the world, algonside artists such as Talla2XLC, Pressureheads, Niels van Gogh, Tom Nakamura, Melanie di Tria, Nathalie de Borah, Eric Noize, and many more. His popularity has been on a fast rise since then, hosting a sucessful radioshow since 2007 aired on Beatnight.at, Globalbase.fm, Decksharks.fm, Trancesonic.fm, Projectradio.us.

In 2009 reached the 314th place at the popular site The DJ List, one year later he received a special award from the DJ Mag and TrackItDown DJ Top 100 voting poll. In the meantime, Marc continued to work on his own music and for 2008 ended up achieving enough experience to start working as a DJing & Producing Trainer at Europe’s biggest DJ School: Vibra. Also managed to get his first releases under the name ‘Plastic Illusion’ along with Melodic Cuture, and as of 2011 landed his first releases as Marc van Gale, a rework for Armin van Buuren’s classic track ‘Serenity’ released under World 2 Media, and his single ‘Far Away’ featuring the professional guitarist Jens S. under Only Trance Records, which has been already supported by many top artists like Giuseppe Ottaviani, Daniel Kandi, Pedro Del Mar, Der Mystik, Suzy Solar, Tamerlan & Djons, and even more fastly growing as an integral artist, and always looking forward to deliver top quality trance music, Marc van Gale’s tracks and DJ mixes are set to rock dancefloors all around the globe, watch out, you may find yourself listening to them soon either in clubs, festivals or radio stations.

“Trance and uplifting house is his style, dancefloor killers his trademark.”

His sound is constantly evolving with little heed paid to his contemporaries, his sound ranges from melodic trance through minimal percussive clubs sounds to head-spinning techno-tinged soundscapes. Hailing from Nizhnevartovsk, Russia he was catapulted into the Russian trance spotlight at the age of 18 with his first release ‘Silver Star’ – Above & Beyond made him their ‘Unsung Hero’ on their weekly radio show. Since then Vadim has scored a plethora of releases on labels such as Armada, Black Hole and Joof with heavy support by Tiesto, John ’00′ Flemming, Above and Beyond, Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Armin Van Buuren, Nick Warren, to name a few.

2004 saw Vadim Zhukov begin to become one of the future stars for the electronic dance scene, with strong releases such as ‘Exit’ and ‘Nothing Matters’ on Armin van Buuren’s Armada label, and ‘Mission 7′ and ‘Earth’s Breathing’ on Tiesto’s Black Hole Recordings.

Vadim’s ‘Moscow Morning’ track was released on Solar Stone’s Deep Blue Records. There was a huge response for this tune, with a review by DJ Mag and a first place position in the DMC Trance chart. In 2005, Vadim Zhukov released his debut album ‘Evolution’ on the Russian label iRecords and second Artist album entitled ’0′ was released to critical acclaim in 2009.

In 2009 Vadim Zhukov launched TFA Records as a platform for his brand new productions.

Vadim Zhukov in Quotes

“I think Vadim Zhukov is a name to watch for. I snapped him up instantly” – John 00 Fleming
“I love the way Vadim’s sound incorporates both tribal progressive and trance – it stands out from other productions out there right now.” – Jono Grant from Above & Beyond

One of the most well known and prestigious Maltese duo band has already emerged within the South European EDM (Electronic Dance Music) and EMI (Electronic Music Industry) scene and they are fully ready to take over the world, every single club and country at a time.

As you are reading this, the guys are already embarking on some of the most established venues, clubs and events in Malta and worldwide. With their ambitious project, Anthony Meachen and Steven Psaila aka Lost Emotions are about to take you to a whole new journey into Trance, taking you to an experience of a lifetime and not only.

Their style of music fluctuates from Trance, mostly Uplifting to Progressive, Techno, House and everything in between, so there’s a lot of love to be spread from their music, covering a huge and massive demand for every single Electronic dance Music lover.

Being recognized by a major list of EDM heads, the likes of John O’Callaghan, Simon Paterson, Jordan Suckley and so many others plus an unique and vast fanbase worldwide, mostly based in Malta, the guys are willing to increase this into a bigger one indeed, therefore with their music style and the tracks are releasing, it’s going to be an easy task for them for sure.

Anthony Meachen, formerly known as DJ Meachen, was introduced to the music scene as a whole at a very young age, being an avid guitar player. Having discovered his passion for various genres of music, Meachen felt in love with electronic sounds and started being an active Dj, spinning his favourite tracks, in his local clubs, somewhere towards the end of year 2000. Playing in some of the biggest, dance events of the island, Anthony became a renowned DJ in the local scene but due to personal matters thereafter, he had to put a stop to his career. Despite his situation, Meachen never stopped pondering about his former lifestyle, that always included a pair of headphones and decks in the same time. In musical terms and for music minded people, Meachen’s ‘stop’ turned out to be a simple ‘pause’ eventually… proving that he is not a one night stand artist but has more to offer, where music is his stamp and personality and he always wanted to share that with the world.

Anthony’s close friend, Steven Psaila is also very attached to music in general. Before he started his DJ-ing career at the early age of 14, he already had the chance of being offered to study piano lessons for a substantial number of years. Having such a golden ear for good sounds, and his “Midas’ Touch” effect – whatever track he touches in turns into a golden hit – Psaila, formerly known as DJ Fire, made his very first steps towards music production a long time ago. Such an approach into music at this early stage, shaped him into the nowadays’ artist. Self-taught, over the years, Steve became very familiar with the EDM productions and started to invest in relevant softwares and studio equipment to further develop his talent. Something that he already has in common with his partner-in-crime, Anthony. Having established himself as one of the most well known producers on the island, Steven, later approached Anthony with his brilliant idea to start working on a project… something that later on started to be their legacy, their sound, their vision.

Given his absence and his desire to get back into the scene, Meachen accepted Psaila’s suggestion immediately and somewhere around early 2009, their efforts soon gave birth to a project which we already know the name – Lost Emotions. Amongst the various electronic genres they are showcasing, Trance is the main style, being chosen as a icon-sound by Lost Emotions. Their daily efforts and hard work has brought them to produce sufficient material to make their name more and more popular amongst the locals. Something that stands out when it comes to Lost Emotion is their team work and their shared vision, something that merges easily between the two individuals. Their friendship has grown stronger for sure and both of them have found a way to work evenly, whether that means sharing the production of a track or making all the necessary arrangements for a performance or a private party. Local charts kept getting stronger, therefore 2010 saw Meachen and Psaila investing and working towards opening their own studio, which was officially opened in early 2011!

With their state-of-the-art and cutting edge hardware, MIDI sequencers and top notch VSTs, we can easily recognise their efforts in building a professional studio with their professional needs.

Lost Emotions’ first success was their production alongside Amelia, a renowned Maltese female vocalist. Their song, entitled “Rain”, was immediately welcomed by the audience and released on most of the local FM radios in early 2011.

As time went by, their success kept getting stronger and stronger, releasing tracks after tracks, receiving major support from their strong Maltese fanbase and not only, the duo band became something similar to even single professional in the EMI (Electronic Music industry) and every single upcoming producer and Dj in the island, sees Lost Emotions as something to look up to. Due to their famous sound and image, the two are being well known and worldwide recognized by their peers and major labels such as Goodgreef Digital, CSR Records part of Unearthed and Milk Records.

Keep yourself up to date with Lost Emotions’ upcoming projects, because 2012 sees them in the spotlight and a very bright future is ahead of them. We are not saying this because we love them, we are saying that because this is a pure statement and their music is being well received by the masses and so many others.

For Tom Fall, the challenge seems to come naturally. A native of Lohja, Finland, the 27-year-old producer began his journey into the realm of music at age 10.

Like every ambitious child with a musical passion, Fall began to experiment with a variety of instruments, but most commonly found himself learning to play his brother’s guitar by ear. It wasn’t long until those ears became mesmerized by the sounds that one can only find within the elusive world of electronic dance music.

As his love for trance, progressive, and house increased, the 16-year-old set his sights into the complex, fascinating world of music production. The self-taught talent began his production endeavors with the legendary Modplug Tracker, and continuously challenged himself further, ultimately with Cubase. After a few years performing live DJ shows, and fine tuning his production skills, the budding talent saw his first and only demo, “Cubic,” released as a single on Anjunadeep in 2010.

After releasing a handful of tracks, including his own Sirius XM BPM radio hit single, “Untouchable feat. Jwayden,” Tom Fall has become one of EDM’s most highly-requested remixers and producers in just a few short months. Fall has reworked tunes, such as tyDi & Sarah Howell’s “Acting Crazy,” into monsterous hits, flooding airwaves across America and top DJ radio shows for months. He continues to remix records for a slew of heavy hitting producers, including Estiva, W&W, Aruna, Cosmic Gate, and tyDi.

The constantly-evolving-producer recently received a coveted spot on Armin van Buuren’s “A State of Trance 550” event at Ministry of Sound in London. His set showcased his ability to seamlessly mesh a variety of EDM subgenres into what became one of the most widely welcomed sets of the night. Currently, his new collaboration with Ben Nicky, “Hammer,” is destined to climb the charts. The video garnered an astounding 100,000 views within a few short days of its release on YouTube. With a slew of hot remixes to complete for iconic artists, such as Cosmic Gate, the self-proclaimed studio rat will soon begin working on his debut album, slated for release on Armada Music. Fans can expect the album to encapsulate the different sonic elements that make an original Tom Fall record unique, infectious, and memorable.

Once Nukleuz’ hard dance began taking over, Aaron quickly found his niche with the more aggressive sound that BK and Nick Sentience were championing at the time.

After scouring the country destroying dance floors, Aaron got involved heavily in production. His first dance EP, “Subversion”, was quickly snapped up by BK’s label manager, Scott Attrill, and remained in the top 10 trance charts on Trackitdown.net alongside Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Nick Sentience.

His second EP, “Equilibrium”, this time signed to Traffic Records, was hailed by Beatport.com as “…one of the best packages of mixes ever to grace Traffic Records…” and was supported by Flatland Funk, Scot Project, Luca Antolini, Kutski, Scott Attrill, Anne Savage, BK, Lisa Lashes, Alex Kidd, Kamui, Organ Donors and K-90.

Aaron got into the studio alongside Rodi Style and churned out “Million”, a panic-inducing-synth-filled-roller-coaster-ride of a hard dance tune that landed on a Tidy Compilation straight away!

Follow that up with a more techno-influenced 3 track EP signed to Tech Fu Recordings, a sister label to Rodi’s Kung Fu Wax, also hit the top 10 hard dance charts on Trackitdown.net and received massive praise from BK, Andy Farley, Anne Savage, Lisa Lashes, JP & Jukesy and Ed Real!

2011 saw the release of Aaron’s “Empathy EP” on the massive Nukleuz Records gaining recognition throughout the trance world while being licensed to multiple compilations, including Trance Adrenaline, Trance Ibiza 2011 and Trance Miami 2011!

It also saw Aaron’s first vocal trance track, a cover of Bat for Lashes “Moon and Moon”, see release on Trancend Recordings. Shortly after release, Brett Wood snapped it up and relicensed it for his own imprint, Direct Drive Recordings – which will feature new remixes and a video!

In the world of compilations, Aaron was asked to mix not one, but four albums in 2011.

Kung Fu Wax asked Aaron to mix their first ever compilation, “Kung Fu Wax Presents Vol.1” which smashed it’s way through the hard dance and NRG charts and hit “Compilation of the Month” in September’s issue of Mixmag!

Nukleuz Records and Aaron came up with a project to help celebrate their diversity in both music and in success on the Canadian side of the pond. Given birth was the “Nukleuz in Canada” series. Volume 1 featured 23 tracks of some of the best uplifting, tech and harder edged trance while Volume 2 included some historic tracks that now make up what we call “hard dance” and helped shape both BK and Nick Sentience’s widely successful careers! The series was dedicated to fallen comrade, Richard O’Brien, who was both a friend to Aaron and previous champion of Nukleuz Records.

“Wow! Awesome,” Anne Savage

“Bring it on Aaron!” James Lawson

Riot! Recordings is set to release a 4 disc mix with some of the brightest, biggest bangs in the hard electrik circuit and Aaron was fortunate enough to be asked to mix one of the discs. He churned out a 26 track journey through electro trance, hard electrik and fierce techno showcasing the past, present and future of hard electrik.

With constant airplay on UK radio, Aaron’s diversity in style carried over into the world of house and electro which saw his unofficial remix of Sander Kleinenberg’s “This is Our Night” gain huge support the world over – including from Sander himself!

“…heard a clip of this on a radio station, I freaked out…LOVE IT,” Sander Kleinenberg

Now that he has relocated to Vancouver, BC, Canada, Aaron will be continually pursuing all forms of his first love, music. With gigs ranging from hard tech-trance to progressive house straight through to dirty electro, he will not be pigeon-holed and accepts any challenge that awaits him.

When he’s not bouncing around to electronic music, Aaron is composing film scores alongside recording partner, Devon Quelch, for various drama and action films.

Aaron’s creativity, it would seem, has no bounds as he also spends time creating logos, websites, posters and various other odds and ends for companies, both large and small.

He’s the tallented newcommer producer and DJ, who started his carreer in the end of 2010. His first contact with music he likes was in 2001 in the local club in the place who he lives, and then he was absolutely amazed and sure which way should his life go on. He has listened this genre more and more, became a big fan of Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren. The breakpoint in his life came in the year 2006, when he met the slovak producer Eniq Acclaim who’s his good friend until today. Eniq saw a big Yustin’s talent for the music production with the musical feeling he has and he started to learn the basics of the music and the production.

The second big breakpoint in his life was, when he met Pete Silver, the trance producer, who lives in his neighbourhood and who had a lot of succeses at that time. They both are work together until today too, and they are not only producers they collaborate, but really good friends as well. In october 2010 Yustin got a chance to make the remix for Peter Feel and Bryan Summerville in the remix contest, which he won and he signed his first remix on German D.Max Recordings. With his chill-out track Orgo One he has a success on the polish Soundwaves record label.

The last success yet is the collaboration with Pete Silver at their track Dolphin, which they signed together on Reality Bites Records.

In 2012 we can look forward to the next tracks of this tallented artist…

The Cape Town-based dj and producer went from headlining festivals on the local Psytrance scene each season, to living on international rotation and playing to audiences upwards of 150 000 people. His trademark melodic and uplifting sound has been played in all four corners of the globe, with gigs taking him to super clubs and incredible festivals in London, Tokyo, San Paulo, Moscow and everywhere in between. As his rise took momentum and his gigs became more prolific, Protoculture shifted gear with ease; evolving his sound as, more often, he found himself billed alongside iconic dj’s from the world of Trance.

One of SA’s most successful exports to date, Nate Raubenheimer aka Protoculture, was sucked into the art of music production at a young age, becoming obsessed with synthesizers, computers and electronic music. He studied Audio Engineering in pursuit of a professional music career and his calling as a live performer and dj took off at great speed; his first artist album, “Refractions” on Nano Records became an international Psytrance success. Diversifying his sound whilst still flying the flag high for South Africa, Protoculture has accessed the next realm of his music career and carved himself a place on the Electronic map with the best of them. His third studio album “Love Technology” expressed exactly how far he’s come and set the stage for an esteemed future in Trance music.

To date he’s played on every major continent, and received much praise for his energetic and emotional live shows, headlining at festivals like Glastonbury and Ministry of Sound in the UK, Creamfields and XXXperience in Brazil, Earthcore Global Carnival in Australia and Ageha in Japan.” Protoculture has played alongside artists such as Paul van Dyk, Sasha, John 00 Flemming, Infected Mushroom, Orbital, Juno Reactor, Sander van Doorn and most recently, being the only local artist to play alongside Armin van Buuren on his A State of Trance 500 (ASOT500) Tour to South Africa. Van Buuren is closely following Protoculture’s career, announcing “Everything he touches turns to musical gold” on his A State of Trance Podcast in 2010 and picking Protoculture as a ‘Future Favourite’ on his ASOT Radio show.

Protoculture’s new music direction has seen releases on Armada Records, Anjuna Beats and Rebrand Records, which have been playlisted by Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Above and Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, Ferry Corsten, Paul van Dyk and Gareth Emery. Striving to work outside the borders of regular genres, whilst maintaining his signature uplifting style saw Protoculture earn a SAMA nomination for his remix work on the Goldfish smash hit, “Cruising Through” on Pacha Recordings. His most recent collaborations with Trance producer Max Graham have been receiving incredible support, their remix of the classic track ‘It’s Not Over’ by Grace flew up the charts to the number 1 position on Beatport. Still to come in 2011, Protoculture headlines with Gareth Emery and Dash Berlin when Godskitchen makes its annual visit to South Africa in September.
